Staci and Rich Grodin Making Great Strides in
Education and Awareness
Turn the Corner Foundation has had an exciting
spring and summer. We have completed our three-part
Lyme Disease Educational Awareness Series,
which was a great success. We had Lyme-literate
Doctors speak about the latest advancements in Lyme
disease in Westchester and New Jersey. These Doctors
included Dr. Charles Ray Jones, Dr. Bernard Raxlen,
Dr. Andrea Gaito, Dr. Richard Horowitz and Dr.
Dan Cameron. Our goals were to educate residents
about Lyme disease as well as Turn the Corner Foundation,
and to expand our network of people.
We were also aiming to raise $60,000 for a Pediatric
Fellowship Program. Currently there are only
two Lyme-literate pediatricians in the entire United
States who are properly educated on Lyme disease
and other tick-borne illnesses related to children.
Sick children from all over the world come to the
United States in hope of getting an appointment
with these two highly coveted physicians. The successful
candidate would complete a three-month program with
two of the world's foremost Lyme physicians, pediatrician
Dr. Charles Ray Jones and family practice physician Dr. Ann Corson.
We have made strides at achieving this financial
goal but still need help with this critical project.

We are currently gearing up for our Fourth Annual
At the Net Tennis Event and Tournament
at the National Tennis Center on September
17th, 2005. Please contact us for more information
about this exciting family day.
