Message from the Founder—July 2003

The first half of 2003 has generated a tremendous amount of excitement for the Turn the Corner Foundation and its fight against Lyme disease. We have made remarkable strides since the organization's inception a year and a half ago. I am delighted and touched by the dedication and generosity of everyone who has helped make this possible. To date, we have granted funds towards various Lyme disease research projects, all of which have been a great success, and we are looking forward to donating additional funds this coming year.

We are very excited for our Second Annual At the Net fundraiser, planned for Saturday, October 18, 2003 at the National Tennis Center, home of the U.S. Open. After last year's success, we know that this year's event will be even better, and enable us to continue to raise the funds necessary to achieve our goals and help fight this devastating disease. We hope that those of you who participated last year will join us again and bring your friends along with you.

On a personal note, my husband and I are the proud parents of a beautiful, healthy baby girl named Sydney Hope Grodin, born June 5th. Luckily with the medical advancements and constant support from my Lyme disease doctor, Dr. Joseph Burrascano, I was able to experience a healthy pregnancy.

Sincerely,

Staci Grodin
