Message from the Founders,

Staci and Rich Grodin-2004 Promises to be Another Great Year

Our momentum continues to build, and once again I would like to thank all of you for your gracious support in making a difference against this debilitating disease.

Our third annual At the Net tennis event and tournament took place on Sunday, September 19th, at the National Tennis Center. We want to thank all of the corporations and individuals who have helped us make the past three At The Net tennis events such a huge success. We were happy to welcome the previous participants back and welcome all of the new corporations and individuals that participated in this year's event.

We are very excited to continue to financially support the wonderful programs that help further Lyme disease research and education. To date, these funds have helped educate physicians and medical students worldwide, as well as the general public, about the severity of Lyme and other tick-borne diseases and the different treatment options available. You can find more about the progress of our funding and programs here.

As the fall approaches, we hope everyone will be mindful that Lyme disease is a very serious threat and that we should all take the proper precautions to protect ourselves and our families. Please visit http://turnthecorner.org/lyme-disease-news/mercury-rises-risk-of-lyme-disease.php for more information regarding the danger of the disease as the temperatures warm, as well as how to best protect yourself and others.

I hope that you all had a great time at the event, and I am looking forward to seeing you all at next year's event as we move forward in our mission to Turn the Corner on Lyme disease. I hope you enjoy this newsletter, and as always, please feel free to e-mail me at staci@turnthecorner.org with any feedback or comments.

Sincerely,

Staci and Rich Grodin
