Third Annual At the Net Tennis Event and Tournament September 19, 2004

We are happy to announce that the Third Annual "At the Net" Tennis Event and Tournament held on September 19, 2004, was another success. It was a day full of fun for all players and participants and their families and guests.

Tennis pros Tom Gullikson, Gene Mayer, and Murphy Jensen joined us for the day by conducting several tennis clinics, posing for photos, playing matches with participants and hosting the fastest serve competition.

Off the courts there was plenty of entertainment for the players and spectators. Music was provided throughout the day by the oh-so-talented Central Park Guitar Man. Complimentary massages, nutritional analysis, sports therapy and chiropractic treatments were available to all players and spectators, courtesy of RM Training. Free entertainment and activities were provided for all the children by such hosts as Ray Morales of Kidz 4 Life and the Candy Art and Hollywood Pop Gallery, which brought us the popular kid crazy Wiggles Cover Band. There was also an interactive game area with carnival games and great prizes. The event featured over fifty amazing auction and sweepstakes items, including house seats at a Broadway show, a private wine tasting from Stag's Leap Winery, and the opportunity to join ex- Giant Phil McConkey on the sidelines of a New York Giants Game, as well as a 1 day rental of a stunning Ferrari 360 Modena!

In addition, all players and spectators were treated to a buffet breakfast and lunch as well as afternoon refreshments during the awards ceremony. Players had a chance to play a minimum of one match on center court in Arthur Ashe Stadium and received At the Net gift bags which included T-shirts, visors and much more.

Courtside, the play was fun and competitive. Congratulations to the intermediate level champions of Richard Davies and Julia Klinker, as well as the advanced level champions of Brendan Murphy and John Rives.
